“Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature, and in favour with God and man”(LK.2:52)
Juniorate is the period between the first profession and the perpetual profession. Its aim is to help the temporarily professed to personally integrate the formation they received in the novitiate, through practical life experiences. Depending in the religious commitment and growing in personal maturity, they prepare themselves for the perpetual profession.
With Jesus, the Priest and Victim, the junior sisters strongly desire to become a holocaust for the reconciliation and salvation of the world. Having entered into a covenantal relationship with the Eucharistic Lord, they constantly try to be identified with Him and become vulnerable instruments in the hands of God. They become mature enough to accept the success and failures, joys and sorrows, with equanimity, in the light of faith.
The duration of the juniorate is three to six years. During this period, they renew their canonical profession every year. The provincial superior with the consent of her council gives permission for it and receives the profession.
